The first semester includes 88 school days (94 for teachers) and ends prior to Winter Holidays. Second semester includes 88 school days (91 for teachers), and ends prior to Memorial Day. Fall Break typically takes place during the last full week in September. Thanksgiving Break begins on the Monday before the fourth Thursday in November (Thanksgiving Day). Winter Break begins on the third Monday in February (Presidents Day). Spring Break begins on the first Monday in April, providing consistency with the Marietta City School District and many other metro Atlanta school systems. Atlanta Hard Cider Co. & Atlanta Distillery

Atlanta Hard Cider Co. & Atlanta Distillery began with a simple idea in a Marietta garage. Founders Mark and Liz Deno took their love of apples and started fermenting small batches of cider for fun. That hobby soon grew into something much bigger: a full-fledged cidery and distillery producing some of Georgia’s most popular apple-forward beverages. Today, the brand has expanded beyond the state, sharing its ciders and apple-based spirits across neighboring markets while staying true to its small-batch, family-owned roots.

At the heart of Atlanta Hard Cider Co. is a lineup of handcrafted ciders made with all-natural ingredients. Flavors range from Crisp Apple and Honey Bee to Pomegranate, Rosé, Tepache, and rotating seasonal varieties. The taproom also experiments with one-off small batches for those looking to try something new. Beyond cider, the distillery produces vodka, American dry gin, eau de vie apple brandy, and several barrel-aged creations, including toasted, charred, and port barrel releases. Each bottle is gluten-free, hand-bottled, and produced on-site in Marietta.

Visitors to the taproom can also order from a cocktail menu that shows off the creativity of the team. Drinks like the Key Lime Dream, Peach Heat, and The Wanda Cosmo bring bold flavor combinations to the forefront. Classics get an orchard twist too, with the Marietta Mule, East Cobb Espresso Martini, Boozy Cold Brew, and Smoked Old Fashioned highlighting the lineup. For those wanting a playful sip, the taproom also offers shooters, slushies, and jello shots. Spirit flights are available for guests who want to sample across the range before committing to a bottle.

Atlanta Hard Cider Co. & Atlanta Distillery is as much about atmosphere as it is about what’s in the glass. The taproom hosts regular events, from themed Spirit Week celebrations and trivia nights to pop-ups with local food vendors like La Pizza, Dano’s Dogs, and Chef Disa’s Nola Kingston. Guests can enjoy live music, art classes, and even line dancing nights paired with cider specials. The wide variety of happenings keeps the calendar packed and gives guests a reason to stop by again and again.

Blue Moon Brewery & Grill

At Blue Moon Brewery & Grill, guests can dive into more than 175 varieties of beer while enjoying the smoky, unmistakable flavors of Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q. Located adjacent to Truist Park at The Battery Atlanta, this brewery and restaurant brings the energy of gameday to the table every day of the week. From juicy burgers and crisp salads to pulled pork, brisket, and wings smoked onsite, the menu offers something for every appetite. Add in a constantly rotating lineup of small-batch beers brewed right in the stadium, and it’s clear why fans keep coming back.

On the brewery side of Blue Moon Brewery & Grill is an actual working brewery. The five-barrel pilot system allows brewmasters to experiment with new ideas and flavors. Fans can sip on unique creations like Golden Glove Kölsch, Hey Now Cold IPA, and Foam of the Braves, all brewed fresh on-site. The variety is nearly endless, with enough rotating options to try a new beer every game of the season and beyond.

Blue Moon Brewery is also a partner with Atlanta’s own Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, a name synonymous with smoked meats that bring a taste of Texas to Georgia. Jonathan and Justin Fox’s signature brisket, pulled pork, and wings headline the menu, joined by hearty sides and original sauces. Beyond barbecue, Blue Moon offers burgers, flatbreads, and lighter fare like salads, giving fans more ways to fuel up before or after the game.

Guiding the brewing program are experts who live and breathe hops and barley. Operations Manager Mark Crouch, a University of Wisconsin–Madison graduate with years at Miller Brewing under his belt, leans toward a crisp German pilsner. Lead Brewer Chad Martin, who started brewing at Auburn University before joining SweetWater, has a soft spot for IPAs. Rounding out the team is Seb Winkler, a Villa Rica native who perfected his skills at breweries across Georgia and the UK before joining Blue Moon. Together, they keep the taps flowing with creativity and passion.

There’s always something on tap beyond the beer itself. Mondays feature half-priced appetizers, Wing Wednesdays bring a discount on rotating wing flavors, and Flight Fridays offer margarita flights at a fan-friendly price. Combine those specials with craft beer brewed just a few feet away, and you’ve got a lineup worth cheering for.

Fox Bros. plates are definitely the star of the show, but the supporting menu is no benchwarmer. Options like the Firehouse Melt with brisket and jalapeño pimento cheese, Texas Fries topped with pulled pork or brisket, and house-smoked wings keep fans fueled for extra innings. Burgers like the Southern Smokehouse and Brisk A Burger deliver bold flavors, while salads like the North Georgia Orchard provide a refreshing alternative. For kids, the “Little Leaguers” menu rounds out the offerings, and desserts like churros and brownie sundaes make sure no one leaves without a sweet finish.

Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room

Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room is preparing to welcome wine lovers to Marietta Square. The new space, located at 107 Church Street in the former UpDog Smoothies & Juices spot next to Be Yoga, will feature an expanded selection of domestic and international wines available by the taste, glass, or bottle.

Owner Dana Gurela’s fascination with wine began during a 2009 trip to Napa. After moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2012, she attended wine school and worked in several wineries. “Deep Roots” reflects both the resilience of grapevines in the vineyard and the strong family ties that brought this concept back home to Georgia.

Deep Roots first opened in Roswell in 2018, followed by a second location in Downtown Woodstock in 2023. A franchise in Historic Chamblee debuted in December 2024. The Marietta Square location will carry over the market’s signature wine club, private event options, regular tasting events, and more.

Patrons can browse featured wines such as Aperture Cabernet Sauvignon and Aperture Chenin Blanc, shop an assortment of wine gifts and accessories, attend weekly and monthly events, and reserve the tasting room for private gatherings.

The Deep Roots Wine Club offers two tiers of membership with benefits like discounts, priority event access, and a number of wines to take home monthly. Club members can sample a curated selection wines each month and bring guests to share the experience.

Sully’s Steamers

Sully’s Steamers: Bagel Sandwiches, But Not a Bagel Shop

Sully’s Steamers on Marietta Square opened on July 28, 2025, at 50 Powder Springs St, between Kiosco and Two Birds Tap House. This place isn’t your neighborhood bagel shop with plain cream cheese and lox. At Sully’s, the bagel is the foundation for sandwich creations that are built to be bold and then steamed to messy perfection.

The Steam Process

Their made-to-order process involves stuffing fresh ingredients into a split bagel, then steaming the whole thing in a special oven until every flavor melts into the next. This technique transforms ordinary bagels into hand-held flavor bombs, where cheese becomes oozy and toppings meld into each bite. Steaming the bagels also results in a softer texture, making them much easier to eat as a sandwich.

The Griswold, featuring turkey, bacon, two cheeses, lettuce, BBQ sauce and parm-peppercorn on an everything bagel.

Menu Highlights

Customers will find options ranging from classics like roast beef Phillies, pepperoni-loaded Italians, and stacked Reubens to slightly lighter (but still hearty) combos like egg-and-cheese, vegan hummus with veggies, or smoked salmon with capers. Signature creations include The Griswold (the best-seller, made with turkey, bacon, two cheeses, lettuce, BBQ sauce and parm-peppercorn) and Nacho Maximus (turkey, cheddar, lettuce, honey mustard, parm-peppercorn and Doritos). For those craving a classic pizza in bagel form, they have pizza bagel sandwiches as well as B-Rad’s Best, which stacks meatballs, pepperoni, salami, provolone, pizza sauce, banana peppers, and onions on a bagel. Breakfast options range from the Meat Chimney (sausage, bacon, egg and cheddar) to California Steamin’ (bacon, egg, veggie cream cheese and avocado).

The Sully Experience

The man behind the steam is Robert “Sully” Sullivan, a regular guy who wasn’t trained in culinary school, but saw an opportunity to deliver high-quality food at fair prices. His straightforward approach to good food and laid-back atmosphere started with his first location in Greenville, SC in 2013. Now with 17 locations and counting, he remains hands-on, sharing his story with anyone who asks and ensuring that every sandwich carries the same warmth and flavor that launched the original shop.

For the Bold, the Hungry, and the Slightly Messy

Guests can dine in, eat on the outdoor patio, grab food to go, or order ahead online, so bring your appetite and maybe grab a few extra napkins. These sandwiches aren’t made to stay tidy.

Das Sweet Treat Brings German Baked Goods to Marietta Square Market

A new dessert shop has rolled into the front trolley space at Marietta Square Market. Das Sweet Treat has opened its first permanent storefront, offering authentic German baked goods with a focus on one of its signature items: Quarkbällchen. If that word sounds familiar, you may have seen (or smelled) them at events like the Atlanta and Roswell Christkindlmarkets or the Dogwood Festival, where these lightly sweetened fried treats tend to vanish by the dozen.

Quarkbällchen are a popular German snack resembling a hybrid between a donut hole and a beignet. Made with quark (a soft, fresh yogurt-like cheese), flour, eggs, and vanilla sugar, they’re deep-fried to golden perfection. Pronounced “kvahk-bell-shen,” they are crispy on the outside, soft and airy inside, and then rolled in a dusting of sugar or cinnamon-sugar. They’re particularly common in southern Germany, especially Bavaria, and often show up around Christmas, Oktoberfest, or New Year’s celebrations. At Das Sweet Treat, they’re served hot and fresh, just like they were in the wooden booths that started it all.

That beginning dates back to the winter of 2019, when the Das Sweet Treat team debuted at the Atlanta Christkindl Market with a simple setup, a batch of homemade dough, and a lot of hope. Without a storefront, they relied on hand-mixed ingredients, long lines, and word of mouth to build a following.

The location at Marietta Square Market stays true to what started it all. The focus remains on quality ingredients, time-tested recipes, and a treat that feels straight out of a Bavarian bakery.

The grand opening took place on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11 am. Now that they are open, guests can expect to find warm treats fresh out of the fryer, the same ones that sparked long lines and repeat customers across metro Atlanta.

Atlanta Host of the 2025 MLB All-Star Game

Baseball’s brightest stars illuminated Atlanta in 2025, as the city was chosen to host the 95th Midsummer Classic, also known as the MLB All-Star Game. This marks the third time Atlanta welcomed the prestigious event. Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that the 2025 All-Star Game and its accompanying All-Star Week events were awarded to the Braves in November of 2023. This decision recognized the Braves’ success both on and off the field and the exceptional fan experience offered by Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta in Cobb County.

Atlanta’s history with the MLB All-Star Game is notable. The city first hosted the game in 1972 at Atlanta Stadium, a memorable event marked by Hank Aaron’s two-run home run that led the National League to victory. The next time Atlanta hosted the All-Star Game was in 2000 at Turner Field, where Derek Jeter was named Most Valuable Player. The return of the All-Star Game to Atlanta in 2025 celebrated the city’s ongoing commitment to hosting world-class sporting events.

The 2025 All-Star Game at Truist Park came with a backdrop of Atlanta’s earlier missed opportunity in 2021. Originally, Atlanta was set to host the 2021 MLB All-Star Game at Truist Park. However, in a significant turn of events, Major League Baseball decided to relocate the game in response to Georgia’s controversial new voting law, which was seen by many as restrictive. This decision was a notable moment in the intersection of sports and social justice, reflecting MLB’s stance on political and social issues. The loss of the 2021 All-Star Game was felt deeply by the Atlanta community, both in terms of the excitement around the event and the economic impact. The awarding of the 2025 game can now be seen as a form of reconciliation, bringing the much-anticipated event back to Atlanta and offering the city a chance to showcase its vibrant culture and love for baseball on a grand stage.

Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta

Opened in 2017, Truist Park has quickly become a beacon of regular-season and postseason success for the Braves. The park, alongside The Battery Atlanta, a vibrant sports and entertainment complex, offers fans a unique and comprehensive experience. The facilities have played a significant role in the Braves’ successes, including their World Series win in 2021, where Truist Park was the final stop for the celebratory parade. These venues also provided a world-class experience for the All-Star Game festivities.

The Braves’ chairman, Terry McGuirk, expressed excitement and pride in being awarded the 2025 All-Star Game. He emphasized Atlanta’s reputation as a top destination for entertainment and sporting events. The preparations for the All-Star Game involved close collaboration with Major League Baseball to create memorable experiences that not only showcased but also supported the local community. The focus was on offering baseball fans and visitors an immersive experience in Truist Park, The Battery Atlanta, and the surrounding area.

The selection of Truist Park and Atlanta to host the 2025 MLB All-Star Game was a significant moment for the city and the Braves organization. It reaffirmed Atlanta’s status as a prime location for major sports events and highlighted the exceptional facilities and experiences that Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta offer. The event was a memorable occasion, celebrating the best of baseball, the community, and the rich culture of Atlanta.
