East Cobb Park

East Cobb Park is a twenty acre park off Roswell Road in Marietta. The park is one of the most used parks in the Cobb County Parks and Recreation Department park system, and features grassy open areas, pavilions, walking trails, creek overlooks, outdoor classrooms, an outdoor stage and two playgrounds.

History
Construction of East Cobb Park began in 2002, after a four years of planning and fundraising by local residents in partnership with the Cobb County Government. The local residents, associated with the East Cobb Area Council and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, formed the non-profit organization Friends for the East Cobb Park. Through the partnership, the Friends for the East Cobb Park were able to raise funds to purchase a property and deed it to Cobb County, who then developed and now maintains the park.

East Cobb Park is the only “passive” park in the area, meaning that it does not have sports facilities. The park is located in East Cobb on Roswell Road between Old Canton Road and Providence Road.

Hours
The park is open from 7am to 10pm
