Bed and Breakfasts in Marietta

Marietta does not have a large bed-and-breakfast scene, but travelers looking for a more personal stay do have at least one strong option near the Square.

Stanley House Inn

Stanley House Inn is a historic 19th century mansion featuring rooms with period features.  The Stanley House was built in 1895 for Dr. James Woodrow and his wife, Felixina Baker – the favorite uncle and aunt of President Woodrow Wilson.

A stay at the inn includes a traditional Inn experience, including afternoon treats each day and a full breakfast each morning.  Each of the 9 rooms feature king beds, private full baths, flat screen tvs, daily housekeeping, free parking, and free wireless internet.

The Stanley House Inn offers a historic inn setting within walking distance of downtown Marietta, giving guests easy access to restaurants, shops, museums, and Marietta Square Market.

The Whitlock InnThe Whitlock Inn may also come up in older searches, but it now operates as an event venue. Formerly a bed and breakfast, the Whitlock Inn was purchased in May of 2020 by Jim and Kathy Heilman. It is now available for use as a venue for social events such as weddings, receptions, dinner parties, and corporate entertaining.  As the new owners of one of Marietta’s historic treasures, the Heilman family looks forward to preserving the integrity of the Whitlock Inn while hosting your most memorable events.

Other Places to Stay Near Marietta

Travelers who do not find the right bed-and-breakfast in Marietta still have several strong lodging choices nearby, depending on the trip.

Marietta Hotels are usually the best choice for visitors who want a predictable stay with familiar amenities such as parking, daily housekeeping, fitness rooms, pools, breakfast areas, and loyalty points. These work well for families, business travelers, wedding guests, tournament weekends, and people who plan to spend most of their time around Marietta Square, Kennesaw Mountain, Six Flags White Water, or nearby family in the area.

Hotels near The Battery and MLB Atlanta Braves stadium are a better match for guests coming to town for a Braves game, concert, or event at Truist Park. These hotels place visitors closer to The Battery’s restaurants, bars, shopping, and stadium entrances, which can make game day easier. The tradeoff is price, especially during major games, playoff runs, concerts, and big event weekends.

AirBNB.com options near Marietta Square may work well for visitors who want a home-style stay close to downtown restaurants, shops, museums, and nightlife. These can be useful for families, couples, longer visits, or guests who prefer a kitchen, living room, porch, or extra space instead of a standard hotel room. Guests should review parking details, cleaning fees, cancellation rules, and check-in instructions before booking.

VRBO.com options near Marietta Square are often a good fit for larger groups, families, wedding parties, or guests planning an extended stay. VRBO listings tend to focus on full homes, condos, cottages, and townhomes, which can be helpful when a group wants shared space and multiple bedrooms. As with any short-term rental, the final price can change after taxes and fees, so the nightly rate is not the whole story. It is the appetizer, not the final bill.

Kennesaw Hotels can be a smart alternative for visitors who want to stay near Marietta but prefer easy access to I-75, Kennesaw State University, Town Center, Kennesaw Mountain, or the northwest side of Cobb County. Kennesaw hotels may also be useful when Marietta rooms are full or higher priced during busy weekends. If you are visiting family in Marietta or East Cobb, Kennesaw is sometimes the closest hotel option. For guests with a car, the drive between Kennesaw and Marietta is usually manageable, though traffic on Barrett Parkway, Cobb Parkway, and I-75 can still remind travelers that metro Atlanta likes to keep people humble.
