A Morning of Engines, Officers, and a Good Cause

The Cobb County Police Department’s Community Affairs Unit will roll out some serious horsepower at the Cool Cars & Cops Car Show on Saturday, September 13, from 9 am to noon at the Cobb County Civic Center. Guests can explore an impressive variety of classic, custom, and modern cars, trucks, and motorcycles while chatting with local law enforcement.

This charitable event raises funds for the SWAT Santa program, which provides holiday gifts to children in families facing financial challenges. Officers go the extra mile by shopping for items from each child’s wish list and delivering the presents in person.

Vehicle owners can participate for $30 per entry, with a special $20 rate for car clubs registering ten or more vehicles. Awards will be presented for the best overall vehicle, as well as top entries in the classic, custom, and overall categories. The event will also feature live music, food trucks, and a high-stakes raffle for a no-cost hunting safari in Namibia, Africa for three hunters over six days. Airfare is not included, but the bragging rights certainly are.

Admission for spectators is free, so the only thing you’ll need to bring is your love for chrome, paint, and the occasional rev of an engine.
