Are there other events like a petting zoo and such too?

We showed up with our 1 year old son after fighting Atlanta rush hour traffic and arrived 5 minutes after the start time listed. The egg hunt was already over and everyone was leaving, with not an egg in sight. Luckily we caught the Easter Bunny but he only hung around for about 10 minutes longer for a few photos. We left disappointed and saw countless cars full of hopeful families turn away disappointed as well that the egg hunt was over before they got a chance to start. Next time consider posting a more accurate schedule so you don’t raise the hopes of children that want to enjoy the festivities.

Hi Nicole,

Sorry to hear that you missed the hunt and glad to know you were able to visit with the Easter Bunny. The information we posted was taken directly from the event organizer’s website. They said:

Marietta’s Parks, Recreation and Facilities Easter Egg Scramble will take place Laurel Park, 151 Manning Road, March 27, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos after the Egg Scramble.

Our article states “The 2015 Marietta Easter Egg Hunt known as the “Easter Egg Scramble” takes place at Laurel Park and begins at 6:30 pm on Friday, March 27, 2015.”

If they started before 6:30 pm, or the hunt only lasted 5 minutes, it is unfortunate to those that missed it but not something we can control. We appreciate the feedback and will include a note to parents letting them know that they should get there early. Also, be sure to check out the other Easter egg hunts taking place in and around Marietta and Cobb County.
