    • I think it has changed here and there over the years. I know it costs to have an ornament made. We have gone almost every year since 1994. It may cost to have a picture made now, but I’m pretty sure they always let us take our own pictures as well. He’s a great santa!!

  1. The ornaments are $11, the photo card is $9.
You can take your own photos as well, I don’t think there is a charge unless you want to get the card or the ornament.

  2. On the city website it claims that you can check in and get a text when they are ready for you so you don’t have to wait in line. However, when we got there, this was not the case and we had to wait in line behind about 40 people. I wish they hadn’t advertised a feature they weren’t actually offering.

  3. This year I was very disappointed. I used to work for Santa on the square about 10 years ago and I’ve been bringing my children because it was always the best, however it has become way too complicated to see Santa. I tried to sign up online but the online times were already booked. Then I got there at 11:00 and the first available time wasn’t until 3:50. I know you’re trying to keep people from having to wait in line, but this is very hard to plan your day around when there’s a 5 hour delay in seeing Santa. Then we finally got our time, and the new big workshop is. Ice, however the 3-4 other people in the workshop with Santa and the music playing in the workshop made it very hard to hear what my daughter and Santa were discussing. The extra people were carying on their so conversation and it was louder than Santa. When I worked Santa on the square we always tried to be very quiet while Santa was talking to the kids and tried to disappear as much as possible. I’m sorry to say we are going to find a different Santa next year. I miss the tiny quaint Santa but with just 1 or 2 “elves” to help take pictures. Very disappointed.

  4. The ornament is $28.00 dollars and is only for internet appointments , they lie at the web site. Low income families are not welcome at Marietta Square and children are not able to see Santa. Shame Marietta !

    • I do not have a booko account. How can I get reservations without a booko account? Why are all these comments from so long ago Don’t you have any comments from this year 2023?

  6. One of the worst experience I had in a while!
We went to the square excited on the 16th of December, as last year we had a lot nicer memory of this visit. As we remembered they welcome walk ins in a timely manner as qell as appointments.

First red flag: We asked the guy at the sign up boot about the price of the photos, and he said it’s free. So in a little disbelief after asking a cpl more questions, turns out its not free at all and even though the prices are behind his back on the wall, he said he couldn’t tell us them. But he said he can give us the last walk in apt for that time slot for 12:59pm. We said okay, we had 40mins to wait but okay we could sit in somewhere close by to not stand in the coldeith a small child and come back on time.

Second and Third red flag: When we came back at 12:55pm we found out that walk ins are first come first serve in the line and the appointments they give us is as good as toalett paper, and better yet, if the walk in times slide into the online apt times, then the walk ins have to wwait for all those appts..
So the question stands: Do you guys have absolutely none organizational skill or are you purposely misleading ppl/potential customers in multiple way???

YOU GAVE US AN APPOINTMENT THAT YOU DID NOT HAVE TIME FOR!!?? Not informed us that we could have stood in line earlier if we choose to wait, and then you just casually announce that although you were here on time and waited 40 plus 20mins in the cold, and you were next in line, there is now 6-7families in front of you!

Very super disappointed! We attend and participate in most of the events at the square and did not expect this kind of unprofessional, unorganized, and untrained staff at this event!!!
