Glover Park Kitchen

Glover Park Kitchen is a Southern restaurant at 72 Atlanta Street in downtown Marietta, directly across from Glover Park Brewery. The restaurant is owned by the same group behind the brewery and features a seasonal menu with an emphasis on Southern cooking and Gulf Coast influences.

The Food

Glover Park Kitchen takes its inspiration from Southern Sunday suppers, with dishes prepared from scratch and designed for sharing. Family-style sides are portioned for two or three people, giving diners a chance to order several dishes for the table.

The menu features Southern favorites like Charleston shrimp and grits, Springer Mountain fried chicken, and Hagan Pot Roast, made with beer-braised short rib. Other options include Gulf shrimp fritters, fried green tomatoes with goat cheese and sorghum balsamic, and pork ossobuco.

Some of the more interesting dishes are found among the sides, including Buford Highway collards with gochujang and turkey burnt ends, Korean Kentucky carrots, and Brussels sprouts with black truffle and pecorino cheese. Dinner entrées are ordered à la carte, with sides portioned for sharing.

For dessert, there is banana pudding, bourbon bread pudding, seasonal cobbler, and a rather substantial cinnamon roll. The cocktail selection includes the Fireside Orchard, made with brown butter maple bourbon, apple, walnut, and citrus.

The restaurant offers separate lunch and dinner menus, along with desserts, cocktails, wine, and craft beer. Lunch features a smaller selection of favorites at lunch prices, while dinner provides the full restaurant experience.

The Chef and the Setting

Executive Chef Lance Hagan brings more than 20 years of fine dining experience across the Southeast, including experience with Pano’s and Paul’s, Table 1280, Legendary Catering Company, and Vail Resorts.

One of the restaurant’s most interesting features is its covered, climate-controlled veranda, which provides outdoor-style dining throughout the year. There is also an outdoor lawn, an indoor-outdoor bar, and a chef’s table with limited seating.

The beverage program includes handcrafted cocktails, a wine selection, and rotating beers from Glover Park Brewery.
