The City of Marietta and Keep Marietta Beautiful are hosting a paper shredding event from 9 am to noon at Elizabeth Porter Park. Participants can bring up to 5 copy paper sized boxes of documents.
If you have confidential or sensitive documents that need to be safely discarded, Keep Marietta Beautiful will allow you to watch your documents as they are shredded on site. Paper items only will be accepted.

- Bank and Credit Card Statements
- Letters
- Checks
- Documents with personal or sensitive information
Not Accepted Items:
- Medication
- Paint
- Electronics
- Metal
- Textiles
- File folders
- Glossy paper
- Magazines
- Junk mail
- Periodicals
- Newspaper
- CDs
- DVDs
- Binders
- Books
Note: Please remove all paper clips, binder clips, and folders.

Our understanding is that it is not necessary to remove staples before shredding.
