The annual Marietta Veterans Day Parade takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The parade begins at 10:40 am at Roswell Street Baptist Church and makes its way to Marietta Square, with the goal of arriving at 11:11 am. The route travels west along Roswell Street, continues north on East Park Square past Glover Park, then ends at the intersection of Cherokee Street and Lawrence Street.

The patriotic parade includes marching bands, drill teams, floats, military vehicles, and veterans’ organizations filling the streets in tribute to those who have served. Both Marietta and Cobb County schools will be represented through their bands and JROTC units.  More than thirty parade entries are anticipated, along with a display of military vehicles.

At noon, a Veterans Day ceremony will take place in Glover Park featuring guest speakers, a gun salute, and the playing of Taps. It’s a great way to reflect, remember, and recognize the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have defended our nation.

There is also a Veterans Day Memorial 5k Run at the Square earlier in the day.

Did You Know?

Veterans Day originated as Armistice Day in 1919 to commemorate the end of World War I on November 11, 1918. It was renamed Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all U.S. veterans of all wars and conflicts, not just World War I, a change championed by veteran service organizations to include those from World War II and the Korean War.

  1. Hi, I go to Hillgrove High School, and I am in the JROTC unit and we were looking for a parade to be able to march in. If this is okay, please contact me through my e-mail so we can talk. Thank you!

  2. Please advise on correct date of parade. Is it the second Saturday in November, the 9th or is it on Veterans Day, the 11th?

  3. I hope it is not too late but my company would love to have a float and or a tent. Can someone contact me soon if possible. Thanks!

  4. I am looking for military vehicles to be static displayed at a veterans event on June 9th, 2018 at Southern Devil Harley Davidson.

This is a pro-veteran event, Veterans Helping Veterans and all proceeds are going to Healing for Heroes, that provide service dogs to veterans in need of certified service dogs.

  5. Crying shame the 2022 Veterans Parade was canceled. It’s understandable that it would be postponed to Saturday, due to a Wednesday forecast for Friday’s anticipated weather, but to cancel it for Saturday is inexcusable. The weather was perfect, I was there…it’s a shame our city so easily dismissed it. Sad example of today’s Goverment official’s general diminishing respect for its traditions, average citizenry and especially disrespectful to our Veterans.

  6. Could you inquire why the city said the parade would start at 11 am at Roswell St Baptist Church, yet it actually started at 10:45 am?

So many people were still streaming in and missed most of the parade.
