The 9th annual Marietta Veterans Day Parade takes place on Monday, November 11, 2013. The parade begins at 11am at Roswell Street Baptist Church, loops through Marietta Square, and ends between the new Cobb Courthouse and Marietta City Hall. The patriotic parade includes marching bands, drill teams, floats, military vehicles and veterans’ organizations. The parade will have both Marietta and Cobb County schools represented by their bands and their JROTC units. Thirty or more parade entries are anticipated along with a display of military vehicles.
After the parade, spectators are invited to pay tribute to the men and women who have fought to keep Marietta and America free during a ceremony on the Square at noon.

Honor Marietta’s Veterans at 2013 Parade
This is the 9th Annual Kiwanis Club of Marietta and City of Marietta ceremony and parade to honor military veterans. The parade will commence at 11 am on Monday, November 11th from the Roswell Street Baptist Church parking lot and continue along Roswell Street to the Marietta Square. The parade will have both Marietta and Cobb County schools represented by their bands and their JROTC units. Thirty or more parade entries are anticipated along with a display of military vehicles.
Following the parade, there will be a formal ceremony at the Marietta Square pavilion beginning at Noon. Lieutenant General Carol Mutter, U.S. Marine Corps will serve as Parade Grand Marshal and keynote speaker during the ceremony. The General was the first American female to achieve 3 star rank! She and her husband Jim, who is a retired Marine Colonel, will arrive in Marietta late Sunday evening November 10. The General is also this year’s guest of honor at the Marine Corps Birthday Ball celebration in Quantico, VA on Saturday evening November 9.
