The annual Marietta Veterans Day Parade takes place on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The parade begins at 10:40 am at Roswell Street Baptist Church and makes its way to Marietta Square, with the goal of arriving at 11:11 am. The route travels west along Roswell Street, continues north on East Park Square past Glover Park, then ends at the intersection of Cherokee Street and Lawrence Street.

The patriotic parade includes marching bands, drill teams, floats, military vehicles, and veterans’ organizations filling the streets in tribute to those who have served. Both Marietta and Cobb County schools will be represented through their bands and JROTC units.  More than thirty parade entries are anticipated, along with a display of military vehicles.

At noon, a Veterans Day ceremony will take place in Glover Park featuring guest speakers, a gun salute, and the playing of Taps. It’s a great way to reflect, remember, and recognize the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have defended our nation.

There is also a Veterans Day Memorial 5k Run at the Square earlier in the day.

Did You Know?

Veterans Day originated as Armistice Day in 1919 to commemorate the end of World War I on November 11, 1918. It was renamed Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all U.S. veterans of all wars and conflicts, not just World War I, a change championed by veteran service organizations to include those from World War II and the Korean War.
