Cobb Classic Rodeo

The Cobb County Classic Rodeo is riding into Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta. Beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15, 2011, the fun will last about two hours each night. Admission at the gate is $15 for adults and $12 for children. (Ages five and under are admitted free.) Some of the proceeds will benefit the Cobb County Sheriff Mounted Patrol Unit.

Cobb Classic Rodeo in Marietta

Sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association, this event is the IPRA Southeast Region Finals. Bull riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie down roping and barrel racing will make the Cobb County Classic Rodeo a night to remember for young and old rodeo fans.

Jim R. Miller Park is located at 2245 Callaway Road, Marietta, GA‎ 30008. From I-75, take Exit 260 and go west approximately five miles until Windy Hill Road dead ends, then turn left onto Austell Road. Turn right onto Callaway Road. The park is on the right. The event takes place in a covered arena.

Fall Festival of Fun

Halloween Fun

The Cobb County Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department along with Cobb County 4-H and the Cobb Safe Kids are hosting the 11th Annual Fall Festival of Fun on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Cobb Safety Village. The event will begin at 4pm and end at 7pm. This event will provide the children of Cobb County a safe alternative to the traditional Trick-or-Treat in their neighborhood.

The Festival will include an array of entertainment: arts and crafts, games, inflatable rides, police and fire prevention activities, costume and coloring contest, a photo booth decorated just for pictures you may want to take and lots more for the entire families’ enjoyment. Parking, admission, games, candy and contests are free. Kids – don’t forget to bring a bag large enough to carry all your candy home. There is a small fee for concessions and inflatables.

Blue Ribbon Classic Car Show at the North Georgia State Fair

The Blue Ribbon Classic Car Show at the North Georgia State Fair takes place at Jim Miller Park from 10am to 3:30pm on Saturday, September 17, 2011.  The event showcases cars displayed in their individual time period categories, such as the 1940s, ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s.   At 3:30pm, cash prizes, blue ribbons, and trophies will be awarded to the top 25 cars, top 5 trucks, and the top 3 motorcycles in categories that include Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Engine, and more. There is a $20 fee to enter a car in the show if paid in advance and $25 the day of the show.
