Cobb Master Gardeners Annual Plant Sale & Expo

The Annual Plant Sale and Expo brings a lot of greenery to Jim R. Miller Park, with a wide selection of plants raised by Cobb Master Gardeners. Shoppers can browse native plants, perennials, shrubs, trees, vines, groundcover, herbs, and vegetables, all offered at budget friendly prices. With more than 1,500 plants expected, this sale gives gardeners plenty to browse before the back of the car starts looking like a mobile greenhouse.

This event is built for gardeners dealing with all kinds of yards and growing conditions. From sunny beds to shady corners to slopes that seem personally offended by landscaping plans, the sale offers plants suited to a wide range of needs. Master Gardeners will be on hand to help visitors choose plants that fit their space, which can save time, money, and a few unnecessary apology speeches to struggling hydrangeas.

In addition to the Master Gardener plant selection, the expo features more than 70 vendors offering a broad mix of garden related items, plants, art, gifts, home goods, and food. That gives visitors plenty of reasons to stick around and explore beyond the plant tables.

Visitors with gardening questions can stop by Ask A Master Gardener for guidance. That could mean help with plant selection, growing conditions, pollinator friendly choices, or figuring out why one stubborn patch of yard seems determined to reject all human effort.

The Bloom Booth Kids Corner features hands on activities for younger visitors, along with education stations, passports, games, free face painting, and story time during both days of the expo. Guests can also contribute artwork to a new art project.

At the News to Use EcoSmart Gardening area, visitors can learn more about beneficial bugs, native plants, and Master Gardener educational programs.

Visitors who want to keep the gardening momentum going can also purchase tickets at Master Gardener booths for an upcoming garden tour in East Cobb.
