  1. It says that admission is $40/person. Is that the cost to get into the event or the cost of the helicopter ride and how long is the ride?

    Thanks,
    Joy

        • Hi Russell,

Thanks for the comment. I’m not sure how long the rides are and I could not find the info on their website. Perhaps you could try calling them at the number listed above – (770) 794-5710.

  2. Helicopter Rides Over Marietta are held on the first Saturday of each month, weather permitting. Rides are conducted in a Robinson R44 helicopter that seats the pilot and up to three passengers. There are no age restrictions, but there is a weight restriction for operational and safety reasons (no one over 270 lbs.). Tickets are $40 per per person (per seat), so cost for a child is same as an adult. Tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis with wait times normally not exceeding 30 minutes. Helicopter rides consist of a six to eight minute aerial tour of Marietta covering approximately a seven to eight mile round trip flying at 90 to 100 mph at approximately 500′ above the ground. See the Marietta Square, Kennestone Hospital, Kennesaw Mountain and more. Tour the aviation museum while you wait to ride the helicopter or wait to see the F-14 Tomcat, A-6 Intruder, A-7 Corsair, AC-130 gunship and more after your helicopter ride.

A helicopter ride makes a great anniversary, birthday or holiday gift.

  5. I talked to Bob today who informed me that the helicopter rides have been temporarily discontinued until a negotiation between the Aviation Museum and property owners is completed. I look forward to when they resume. Bill
