  1. Absolutely absurd and DANGEROUS!!!!

Took my 5 yr old son to the Sprayberry Egg Drop. He didn’t get one single egg.
He did get knocked flat on his back twice by grown adults who were grabbing up eggs!!

Some tips for next years event…

    1) Parents should NOT be allowed on the field (for this age group). They should be made to stand behind the tape. That way parents can SEE their children and take photos. 4 children were missing during this hunt.

    2) There should be 2 lines of tape – one for parents to stand behind, and one for children to line up at.

    3) The field should not be surrounded by participants, all working their way into the “center” – it’s dangerous. Have all the kids start at one side – and work their way “across” the field. Do away with the helicopter, and divide the hunt in smaller age brackets.

    4) Disneyworld does a Halloween event – with candy. It’s a PATH that children enter from one end, and complete a circuit – with stations handing out candy at intervals. Maybe this could be done around the circumference of the field, with the bouncy stuff on the inside?

I spoke to one mother who was carrying a large basket filled with eggs. Her daughter was 4. I asked how that was possible, since most children (80% i saw) were walking around with empty baskets. She pointed to her 15 year old son – who barreled through and grabbed all the eggs for his sister.

So – in essence – my 5 yr old son was up against teenagers and adults to get eggs! Not only were children getting knocked to the ground, but i several adult women on the ground getting trampled…
    NOT SAFE! NOT FUN!

  2. I like the suggested recommendations from Kim. I did not like the event either as my grandchildren (2, 3, 5) were almost trampled by adults and teenagers grabbing eggs. They were able to only get a couple. It is not a well organized event and I would not recommend anyone take their children/grandchildren to it.

  3. I agree they need to organize it a lot better. Who lets adult and older teenagers on the field with small children. Your right it’s not only dangerous, it’s out right ridiculous, and whom ever organized it that way with everybody in there for a free for all needs their head examined
