Marietta is 175 years old in 2009 and to celebrate, the city and its 175th anniversary steering committee this week launched a book of facts about Marietta’s history entitled 175 Facts about Marietta, Georgia by Rebecca Nash Paden, Joe McTyre, Barbara Betts King (Illustrator). The book is on sale now at locations around the Square. You can get yours personalized at a book signing today – Saturday, December 5 from 10am to 2pm at the Avery Gallery, 390 Roswell Street. Books will be on sale at the gallery for $10, and authors Rebecca Nash Paden, Joe McTyre, and Barbara Betts King will be on hand to sign books and talk about their work.
