Breweries & Distilleries

Marietta is home to several beer breweries, a meadery, and a hard cider brewery.  Tours and samplings are offered at most places, and beverages are available for sale to drink on location or for purchase to take home.

Red Hare Brewing & Distilling

Established in 2011, Red Hare Brewing & Distilling is the oldest microbrewery in Marietta.  The brewery is family friendly and offers two types of craft soda for the kids – root beer and sparkling grapefruit soda.  The brewery is also dog friendly and open to well behaved dogs on leashes.

The brewery has an indoor area as well as an outdoor patio with seating.  The outdoor patio also features an assortment of games including a 4 foot version of connect four, an oversized Jenga, cornhole (bean bag toss), and bocce ball.  Visitors can also enjoy a rotating selection of food trucks and live music.  Be sure to check the Red Hare Facebook page for updates and schedules.

Schoolhouse Brewing

Founded by former middle school science teachers Thomas Monti and Justin Waller, Schoolhouse Brewing began in 2014 as bottle and growler shop with home-brewing supplies on Whitlock Avenue in Marietta.  The success of the shop led to the formation of the full-scale brewery that opened in 2019.  The brewery features 20 rotating draft beers that are completely open sourced, meaning they will give you the recipe so you can brew your own batch at home.  In addition, the brewery features the largest taproom in Marietta, as well as games, live music, and of course a fully stocked homebrew supply store with all the ingredients and equipment needed to brew any of their beers at home.
