I am disappointed as well. I am 25 years old and I am HUGE fan of Classic Movies.. Mainly Gone with the Wind. Why did they not do this as an all weekend event instead of Friday and Sat? The prices are too much as well. The only thing I can do it the autographs.

I completely agree with Ms. Lamabert. When I was told about this event, I was thrilled, rushed to my nearest computer and wanted to be a part of this amazing event. I myself, have been a fan of Gone with the Wind, since I was small, and read the book when still very young and in Grammer School. While my friends were reading Dr. Seuss, I was pouring over the pages of Margret Mitchell's masterpiece. I even went down the aisle at my wedding to Tara's Theme. Please understand my heartbreak when I look to find that in an economy such as this, only the very rich will be able to afford tickets to this event! Doesn't this go against everything that Gone with the Wind was about? Making this an exclusive, very expensive event, means that so many of us, that loved the book and have lived the book will be left out of this event. I am heartbroken...but wish this event much success. In a time of recession and war, long live the inspiring story of Southern Strength and Perseverance. May we all find our own inner Scarlett O'Hara.

I am really disappointed to read the above information regarding the cost of the repremiere of Gone With the Wind. This is one of my favorite movies and books since I was in high school and I've read and watched it many times. I was looking forward to attending but the costs of all of the events are too prohibitive for me to consider it. Several of my friends as well as my fiance were planning to attend as well. I think you would have been able to reach your fundraising goals just as easily if you had had the ticket prices for the movie at a lower cost, say $25.00 or $50.00, but include a fund raising drive for individuals who could contribute an extra amount. Hopefully you will offer the movie again in t he Strand in the future for a more reasonable cost. As a Marietta native, to have the opportunity to see such a great movie in such a beautiful theatre would have been quite a treat.
