Have really enjoyed the Watership Brown and picked up a growler of Gangway IPA from Best of Brews today. Looking forward to enjoying that this evening and, hopefully, participating in the event at Greg's on the 11th February. Keep up the great work! Chris, Johns Creek

My name is Christopher J Hayes - My Great Grandmother was Edna Maude Schilling 2/17/1891- 12/16/1973, she was married to Henry Clifton Lovelace, at St James Episcopal Church in Marietta. My Grandmother is their youngest daughter is Cecile Lovelace born in 1923 and currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. She married James Alexander Denny and they had my mother Diane Cecile Denny in 1951.

One of my mother's favorite pictures and fondest memories is of her grandmother holding me when I was a newborn before she died that same year.

I just finished a trip south visiting family on my dad's side in Powder Springs My mom and I decided to go visit Marietta and the Schilling sites. We went to Schillings on the Square, the restaurant where the store used to be.
We drove by The old Post office where Great uncle Walter was postmaster, I saw a picture of him standing in front, now a museum and closed while I was visiting. The picture is part of the Georgia Archives.
We found the former Schilling residence on Washington Street and went to the St. James Cemetery on Polk, where most of the family is buried.
It is nice that these places still exist and that is what makes Marietta a charming place, that has not forgotten its history.

Marietta (and on a larger scale) Cobb County has a horrible track record for unnecessary traffic citations. Quickly scanning the articles cited, there is no proof that these cameras work, thereby proving this just a way for the city to line their pockets. I saw no sign at my intersection (Allgood & Cobb), but I'm sure if not there already, one will be erected shortly.
I find it interesting that my citation came from Tempe. Surely you could find a way to keep the outsourcing local and improve our own economy and unemployment rates? Sad.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the question. Our dates are correct for this event. If you are looking for a dog friendly activity for this weekend, we recommend the Boxerstock music festival at Jim Miller park tomorrow from noon to 6pm.

I am at odds with my wife about this dog show. The East Cobber magazine shows the dates as 22-25OCT, so I checked the internet. Not having the magazine in hand, I went to the Jim Miller Park Site for information and none was there. Who should I be mad with, Your company or Cobb Count? Now your site shows next weekend as the show dates. Why does Cobb County not have this information in the Jim Miller Park Events Site ?
